Programs of the Family Nurturing Center

Child Abuse Treatment Services at Family Nurturing Center encompasses multiple program components.

Family Nurturing Center is pleased to offer the Darkness to Light / Stewards of Children curriculum in partnership with Darkness to Light, Cincinnati Chapter. Stewards of Children is a revolutionary prevention program designed to teach adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

Have you ever wished that babies came with an instruction manual? Gene Gardner, founder of Every Parent’s Library, recognized the privilege, and incredible responsibility of raising a child, and wanted to offer support for families. “I knew that people needed access to information,” said Gene, “but also realized that parents are busy. Videos seemed to be the perfect medium to help people get the skills needed to be great parents.”

Facilitated visitation provides an opportunity for children to visit with non-custodial parents in a safe, supervised setting, and build skills needed to enhance healthy family functioning.

The HOPE (Helping Others Parent Effectively) Program is a comprehensive Parenting Education and Support Program designed to meet the needs of at-risk  families referred by Hamilton County Job and Family Services.

The Kids on the Block Program provides school based prevention services which increase public awareness about the problem of child abuse and equip children with the skills to recognize, resist and report such abuse.

Nurturing Parenting Programs are family based parenting education programs that help families establish a nurturing way of life. Parents and children attend together so that all family members can benefit from participation in the program.

A community education program designed to prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome.

It's (NOT) only rock and roll ... but ya'll like it.

What do you get when you mix great country music with classic rock and roll? Rock for a Reason to Boot out Abuse.

We are re-booting the Art Affair! Whether you “Walk This Way” or like to “Boot, Scootin, Boogie”, join us at the Radisson Hotel Cincinnati Riverfront in Covington, KY for a night of great rock and country music, dancing, and of course our highly regarded silent and live auction. We listened to the feedback from our corporate sponsors, guests and volunteers and decided to try something totally different.

Despite the cold weather, almost 170 runners and walkers joined Family Nurturing Center for the Blue Ribbon 5K Race to support Child Abuse Prevention Month. Many thanks to our volunteers for their support in making the race a huge success. Race results are available here. To view all the photos from the race, please click here. The first 21 pages are from the race, are not in any order, and there are a lot to view. Thanks and enjoy!

Family Nurturing Center is grateful to our many sponsors including General Cable, PPD, St. Elizabeth and Graydon Head.
