Simple statements with the potential to create life changing and life saving results for generations to come. This is the vision of Family Nurturing Center.  For more than 25 years, we have been at the forefront of providing prevention, education and treatment programs to children and families impacted by child abuse and neglect.

Child abuse affects us all, regardless of whether we know any of the five children in America who will be reported abused in just the minute it takes to read this letter.  Beyond the physical and emotional scars are the economic and societal burdens.  Abuse affects school promotion rates, dropout rates and professional success rates.  Annually, it costs the United States more than $103 billion in foster care, incarceration, hospitalization, law enforcement and other societal expenses. 

Family Nurturing Center is a nonprofit agency dedicated to ending the cycle of child abuse by promoting individual well-being and healthy family relationships.  Through our free services, we impact more than 25,000 children and parents each year.  In helping today’s families, we’re nurturing tomorrow’s. And that impacts everyone.

Your financial support will enable us to continue to serve thousands of children in our community.  A gift of $100 will teach a classroom of children new skills to recognize, resist and report child abuse through the Kids on the Block program.  Or, consider a gift of $50 to provide one hour of parenting skills to a family in need.  Even a simple gift of $25 will help to expand our public education efforts on the dangers of shaking a baby. There are special items that our staff specifically needs that will assist children in families in therapy and treatment services.
